●The LX3302 is the newest member of Microsemi"s inductive sensor product family. The LX3302 is designed to process signals generated by inductive sensors which are based upon linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) principles. The LX3302 includes an integrated oscillator/exciter which is designed specifically to drive low inductance PCB-based sensor coils. The LX3302 includes a pair of matched analog channels which process sensor signals as a sine/cosine pair. This results in superior rejection of noise sources both internal and external to the sensor assembly. The LX3302 is ideal for measuring linear, angular/rotation, proximity, and/or displacement in electromechanical systems. In 360-degree rotational applications the device achieves resolution better than 0.5-degree.
●The internal EEPROM allows the user to configure and calibrate the sensor system via the power pin (VIN) and output pins thereby allowing calibration at the final sensor assembly level without the need for added I/O pins or dedicated test points. The LX3302"s increased EEPROM space provides eight calibration points which can improve sensor measurement accuracy by one full bit. In addition to the standard features of the LX3301A, the LX3302 includes the following advancements:
● Analog sine/cosine outputs to support motor control applications
● Single Edge Nibble Transfer (SENT) serial port compliant with J2716 JAN2010
● Peripheral Sensor Interface (PSI5) port
● Integrated temperature sensor
● AEC-Q100 certification grade 0 (-40 to 150C)
● 32x16 internal EEPROM with eight (8) segment linearization
