DS1626U+ - Maxim Integrated Function Overview

The DS1626U+ is a high precision 3-wire digital thermometer and thermostat in 8 pin µSOP package. It provides temperature measurement and stand-alone thermostat capability over a -55°C to +125°C range. The resolution of the measured temperature is user selectable from 9bits to 12bits. Communication with IC is achieved through a 3-wire serial bus. It offers thermostatic functionality with three dedicated thermostat outputs (THIGH, TLOW and TCOM), overtemperature (TH) and undertemperature (TL) user-programmable thresholds stored in on-chip EEPROM. For stand-alone thermostat operation, TH and TL can be programmed prior to installation and the device can be configured to automatically begin taking temperature measurements at power-up. This device is used in thermostatic controls and thermally sensitive applications.
Supply voltage range is 2.7V to 5.5V
Offers ±0.5°C accuracy from 0°C to +70°C
Temperature measurements require no external components
Convert temperature to digital word in 750ms(max), stand-alone thermostat capability
Thermostatic settings are user definable and non-volatile(NV)
Temperature conversion time is 750ms for 12bits at VDD = 2.7V to 5.5V, TA = -55°C to +125°C
Temperature conversion time is 93.75ms for 9bits at VDD = 2.7V to 5.5V, TA = -55°C to +125°C
Clock frequency of 1.75MHz at VDD = 2.7V to 5.5V, TA = -55°C to +125°C
Minimum EEPROM data retention is 10 years at -55°C to +55°C
