●The MAX238EWG+ is a +5V powered multichannel RS232 driver/receiver in 24 pin WSOIC package. This device is intended for all EIA/TIA-232E and V.28/V.24 communications interfaces. It is particularly suitable for applications where ±12V is not available. The MAX238 has four sections such as dual charge pump DC to DC voltage converter, RS232 driver, RS232 receiver and receiver/transmitter enable control inputs. The integrated charge pump circuitry eliminates the need for bipolar ±12V supply and enables single supply operation from +5V supply.

● Supply voltage range from 4.5V to 5.5V

● Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C

● Four RS232 drivers and four RS232 receivers

● Saves board space

● Data rate of 120Kbps
