MAX690ACSA+T - Maxim Integrated Function Overview

The MAX690ACSA+T is a microprocessor supervisory circuit in 8 pin NSOIC package. This device reduces the complexity and number of components required for power supply monitoring and battery control functions in microprocessor (µP) systems. The device significantly improves system reliability and accuracy compared to separate ICs or discrete components. It perform following functions such as reset output during power-up, power-down and brownout conditions, battery backup switching for CMOS RAM, CMOS µP or other low power logic, 1.25V threshold detector for power fail warning or low battery detection or to monitor a power supply other than +5V and reset pulse if the optional watchdog timer has not been toggled within 1.6s. This device is typically used in battery powered computers and controllers, intelligent instruments.
Supply voltage range from 1V to 5.5V
Operating temperature range from 0°C to 70°C
Precision monitoring of 4.65V supply voltage
Active low push pull reset
Supply current is 200µA
Reset delay time is 200ms
Quiescent supply current in battery backup mode is 50nA
Reset (complimentary) assertion to VCC = 1V
