PIC16F1717-I/PT - Microchip Function Overview

PIC16F170X/171X Product Family
Flexible Intelligence with On-Board Analog
The PIC16F170X/171x MCU family combines the intelligence and flexibility of our cutting edge Core Independent Peripherals with the cost-effective integration of op amps, comparators, and other Intelligent Analog peripherals.
Core Independent Peripherals take 8-bit performance to a new level by performing system functions autonomously, with much lower latency and power consumption than interrupt-based task handling. Additionally, they simplify the implementation of complex control systems by allowing designers to isolate each system function for easy development and troubleshooting.
The family also offers a rich set of analog peripherals, including Dual Op Amps to drive analog control loops, amplify signals from sensors, and perform basic signal conditioning. Other on-chip Intelligent Analog features include internal High-Speed Comparators, 10-bit ADC and 8-bit DAC. These 14-, 20-, 28-, and 40-pin devices also feature Zero Cross Detect, which simplifies TRIAC control, synchronized switching control, and timing. Together, they enable designers to reduce system cost and board space while improving EMI/EMC performance.
Choose Your Path with Flexible Routing Features
PIC16F170x/171x MCUs offer Peripheral Pin Select (PPS), which gives system developers the ability to configure any digital peripheral to any I/O pin. This flexible pin mapping feature provides increased freedom and optimization of the MCU’s peripheral resources that designers use in their application. When combined with the Configurable Logic Cell for peripheral-to-peripheral connections, the PPS helps enable complex functions, simplifies legacy system migration and provides optimized PCB tracing for improved board space usage and highest signal integrity for designs that require it.
